Our annual CYM BackPack Initiative to warm the hearts of children of Ukraine. These backpacks will be presented as gifts from St.Nicholas to orphans in Ukraine. All families of our Ukrainian School and CYM NY are asked to start preparing backpacks filled with warm clothing, school supplies, books and toys.

Please drop them off on the 2nd floor at the Uprava Office. Also, if people prefer to donate money instead of a backpack, that’s welcome too. Cash or check (payable to UAYA) is acceptable and can be given to either Mike Roscieshewsky, Bohdan Pryjmak, Slawko Melnyk, Ulana Pryjmak, or anyone in CYM NY Uprava. The monetary donation will offset costs for shipping of these backpacks.
Suggested items to include in backpacks: coloring books, toys, crayons, arts and crafts kits, fancy pencil cases, hair accessories, markers, pens and pencils, clothes (hat, scarves, sweaters, pants, dresses, leggings, tights, jackets, mittens, age appropriate books in English).
